Garswood U14 A 5-0 East Leigh

Garswood recorded their 3rd win of the season with a convincing victory over bottom of the table side east Leigh, it should have been 3 or 4 by the time Jamie Jackson struck a sweet shot from outside the box which hit the post and went in giving the Leigh goalie no chance.

It wasn’t long till the second followed with Grant eventually getting his goal after forcing the Leigh goalie into a number of close range saves he tapped in from close range and it looked as though it was over by half time .

East Leigh came out firing in the second half and Garswood couldn’t get out of there own half with Leigh failing to take their chances one of them being a penalty, they were Made to pay as Garswood hit them on the break and Patrick kept his cool and slotted from close range.

But again East Leigh still didn’t give up and they kept coming at Garswood but still without any joy against the resilient Garswood defence who were fighting for their second consecutive clean sheet and were being pushed all the way by Leigh but again they were punished as mike whipped a corner from the right and Lewis struck from inside the 6yard box for his 4th goal in 3 games, but Garswood weren’t finished there as right at the death the two subs Jamie mc & Leon combined to set up grant for his second of the game with a 3yard thunderbolt.

It was another good win for Garswood who moved into 4th so let’s keep it going lads.
