Eagle 0-4 Garswood U14 A

Lewis 2, Grant, Jamie

Garswood got back to winning ways after 2 defeats with their best performance of the season to date.

The scoring started after 50 seconds virtually straight from the kick off after some neat play superbly finished by Lewis Reilly.  The second was soon to follow on 13mins as Ben Whittle crossed from the right to Grant on the edge of the box who had a couple of touches and beat the keeper on his near post and that’s how the first half finished.

The 2nd half started as the 1st finished with Garswood on top of a tough encounter, Grant had a good chance 1 v 1 with the keeper but somehow managed to hit both posts and miraculously the ball ended up back in the keepers hands but Eagle were dangerous on the break and but for an outstanding save from Josh in the Garswood goal Eagle could have been back in the game.

Just after that there was a scramble in the Eagle penalty box and the ball broke to Jamie Jackson who rifled a shot into the far corner of the Eagle net 3-0 but Garswood weren’t finished there.

Lewis struck a fierce shot that the Eagle keeper couldn’t hold and it ended up in the net for his 3rd goal in 2 games, Lewis was unlucky not to get his hat trick right at the end after good work by Jamie Mcquade and Grant who laid it back to Lewis who just blasted over .Overall it was a great all round team performance against a good battling team with Quinny and Mike Tinsley outstanding in midfield.

WELL DONE LADS LETS KEEP IT UP
