Earlestown B 14-4 Garswood U14 C

Garswood started the game very strong having the most possession and the best chances in the first ten minutes.

Eathan Miller opened the scoring on twelve minutes netting his second three minutes later to make it 0-2. Earlestown come back quick and score from kick off. Declan Livesley scores a superb goal with five minutes to half time 1-3 to Garswood. Earlestown reply with three goals in those five minutes 4-3 at half time.

Second half starts as first finished Earlestown 7-3 up in no time. The Garswood lads keep their heads up and work hard to get back in the game and get a few good chances. Earlstown keep taking their chances and scoring 10-3.

Aaron Hurst misses open goal from three yards.Charlie Eatock has a brilliant run down the left wing and puts the ball just wide. Garswood’s fourth goal was scored by Connor Locklin and what a goal, best of the match.Great build up from midfield sets him up shoots from twenty five yards streight in top right corner.

Final score 14-4 a bitter pill to swallow but as always the boys walked off the pitch with heads held high having played the match in the spirit of the game.

Man of the match was Tom Wareing who played right back first half and left back second. Also Callum Eden made some great saves in goal despite conceding fourteen goals most of which he had no chance.

Also very good performances by Kieran Lackey and Wesley Spencer. On the day Garswood were beaten by a much bigger and fitter squad of players and the score doesn’t reflect the game.
