Garswood 2-2 Appleton B

Game started at a fast pace on a wet pitch and still raining. Garswood have a good first 15 mins going close twice and eventually Wesley Spencer gets the opening goal on 20 mins, from a good team build up and a final pass into the box by Ethan Miller.

Appleton respond going close from kick off, but Garswood stay focused. End to end for 10 mins. Apleton score on 30 mins 1 -1. Both keepers make good saves to keep it 1-1 ar half time.

Second half continues a very close contest, then on 45 mins Appleton score a clear offside goal. Very disappointing for Garswood who were the best team upto this point. They get on with it and score a goal which clearly crosses the line but the ref. was too far away to be sure and doesnt give it. Another very disappointing decision.

Garswood continue to press eventually scoring on 60 mins. Wesley Spencer getting his second from a great free kick into the box from Connor Locklin.

Garswood continue to play well. Chances at both ends on 65 mins Ethan Miller shoots and the ball gets stuck in the mud 2 feet off the goal line. Any other day it would have been a goal.

Both Goalkeepers continue to play well making very good saves.

Great game, very close. Garswood deserved the win but wasnt to be be.

All the team were excellent. Well Done Everyone!

Man of the match – Craig Gough.

Strong performances by Kieran Lackey in centre midfield and Charlie Eatock at centre back. Also Wesley Spencer(C) was excellent up front.

Well Done to Callum Eden in goal, who kept us in it twice in the first Half.
