16/10/11 – Orford B 2-4 Garswood D

Garswood travelled to Orford in good spirirts following a great run of recent results but knew that they were in for a real battle against a well organised team. After a tight and well contested first 20 minutes Garswood took the lead through a smart finish from Liam Hilton. Nathan Moore then let fly from 20 yards sending a thunderbolt beyond the despairing dive of the keeper to take the away side into the interval 2-0 up. Garswood then increased their lead 5 minutes into the second half after the ref pointed to the penalty spot.

Captain Nathan Moore stepped up and despite the keeper getting a hand to the ball, the power took in beyond him and into the corner of the net. Garswood were in dream land a few minutes later as Liam Hilton skipped past a couple of challenges in the inside left channel before cutting in and firing past the keeper to put the visitors 4-0 up. To their credit Orford came back strongly and scored two quick fire goals, but Garswood kept the hosts at bay with some fine defending as the match finished 4-2.
